Immigrant Work Visa for USA |
Immigrant work visas (Green card holders) allow foreign nationals to stay and work permanently in the USA. A Green Card (also known as Permanent Residence in the USA or Permanent Resident Card) is issued in the USA which allows unlimited authority to the immigrants to work and stay in the USA. As per the official report for 2022, 2.75 lakh Green Cards (employment-based immigration permits) were issued by the Office of US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). P-2: It is for entertainers or artists as part of a group or as individuals involved in reciprocal exchange programs. | |
P-3: It is similar to the P-2. P-3 visa is for entertainers or artists but is based on a culturally unique program or performance. | |
Q-1: It is for participants in international cultural exchange programs. It’s often used by individuals involved in sharing their cultural heritage. | |
F-1: It is for international students to study in the USA for high school, college, university, conservatory, seminary, language training, etc. They must be certified by the Students and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). F1 visa holders can also apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) after completing their studies. |

Passport, Visa, OCI cards, etc. To liaise with the local government offices/OFM about various services viz. booking of public parks, issuance of diplomatic Identity cards, driving licenses, SSN, Tax exemption cards, etc. Assist with Embassy events and visits of delegations including protocol duties at the airport as required. Any other work assigned from time to time. Initial Pay: US$ 2886 per month + 75 per month (towards medical insurance premium). |
Post: Handyman Required qualification, experience, and skill: Good working experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Adequate communication skills in English. Work Profile: To carry out the following work at the Embassy of India and properties/residences owned by the Embassy: Electrical – repair and maintenance of electrical gadgets, troubleshooting all electrical problems, repair and replacement of light fixtures and cables. Plumbing – carry out repairs and replacements of faucets, cistern tanks, bathroom fittings, and minor repairs of plumbing systems in the Embassy buildings and residences. Carpentry – Carry out minor repairs of furniture, doors, and window fittings, assembly of new furniture, and all other works related to carpentry. HVAC system- troubleshooting of HVAC systems in Embassy buildings and residences. Any other work assigned from time to time. Initial Pay: US$ 3120 per month + 75 per month (towards medical insurance premium). |
Post: Chauffeur Required qualification, experience, and skill: Grade 12 or above. Should possess a valid driver’s license and experience of at least 3 years of driving skills. Adequate communication skills in English. Should be willing to work in odd working hours and on weekends/ holidays. Work Profile: To drive official vehicles to various destinations within and outside DC. To maintain and keep the allotted vehicle tidy and clean. Any other work assigned from time to time. Initial Pay: US$ 3120 per month + 75 per month (towards medical insurance premium). |
